Concentrated perfume oils can also be diluted and carried by means of neutral-smelling lipids such as jojoba oil, fractionated coconut oil, sweet almond oil or wax as a healthier alternative to alcohol. Generally speaking, alcohol also necessitates the use of glass for containment. Glass is heavy and fragile while ethanol is hazardous. Transportation logistics are therefore not trivial or inexpensive. From our perspective, we saw an opportunity to deliver the world's finest custom designed French fragrances as high-end parfums, concentrated at 20%, at a fraction of the price of a typical commercial perfume. Today we purchase virtually all our container material as environmentally friendly residual wood from small mills that meet the criteria set out by the Forest Stewardship Council, whose mandate is to promote environmentally appropriate, socially responsible, and economically viable management of the world's forests.
