Ambodi Cosmetics (Concord, NH).
Ambodi (pronounced Am-bod-ee) is Pure Complexion's signature cosmetics line. The cosmetics are mineral based and do not contain preservatives, fragrances, or any other common irritants.
How is Ambodi different? Unlike most mineral cosmetics, Ambodi does not contain Talc (Bismuth Oxychloride). Talcum powder may potentially contain asbestos, which is a natural impurity in the stone. Long term exposure to asbestos, especially in powder form, is a documented cause of lung disease. Short term effects are still under study.
Another common impurity in mainstream mineral cosmetics is the use of a synthetic preservative called parabens (ethyl, propyl, and methyl paraben). Unfortunately, brands like Bare Escentuals (Bare Minerals) and Glo Minerals both contain parabens. Ambodi cosmetics on the other hand are 100% paraben-free.

For best results, use a kabuki brush to apply.
Application Tips:
- For Professional Results (and people with sensitive skin): Apply a thin layer of all-natural moisturizer to your face first, wait 2 minutes, then blot with a cotton towel (to remove excess lotion). Lightly dip a kabuki brush into your foundation jar and begin dabbing the minerals on different areas of your face, without dipping the brush in more foundation, use the brush to blend the minerals evenly into your skin. Repeat with another layer if more coverage is desired. To finish the look, apply our pure mineral blush or bronzer to your cheeks for a healthy dose of color.
- For Fair or Light Complexions: Because Ambodi offers medium to full coverage - it will conceal all underlying imperfections and natural color variations in your skin. For people with light skin this effect may initially wash-out your complexions and look a little pale. You can easily restore color by applying a Light Toned Blush or Bronzer to your cheeks, nose, forehead and chin/jawline. Just imagine where the sun would naturally hit your face and subtly add color to that area. With this simple technique, you'll achieve beautiful results! Ambodi Foundation + Blush/Bronzer application time is under 2 minutes flat.
