For those of us who live in cold, harsh climates, what better herb to include in a face skin formula than comfrey with its reputation for proliferating cells and healing skin? It is highly emollient and slightly astringent to renew skin cells, soften, soothe and protect. Pyrrolizidine alkaloids, a biochemical constituent of comfrey, are not absorbed through the skin. Roseanna Rich is of Italian descent and Italians love to use olive oil for everything! Most medicinal salves are formulated in olive oil because olive oil by itself is medicinal with an SPF 11. Grapeseed oil is the lightest available food oil and provides balance to our formula, creating a cream that is truly rich without being greasy. A little goes a long way. Only food grade oils are used to provide nutrition for the skin. We believe that anything you put on your body should be as pure as anything you put in your body. Palmarosa is an ancient Indian grass that stimulates cellular regeneration, regulates sebum production, and is valuable treatment for all types of skin. Rosemary essential oil is a powerful anti-oxidant and preservative. Grapefruit seed extract provides additional natural preservative qualities.

About the Ingredients:
The strong vulnerary properties of calendula flowers make this an ideal herb for a skin cream. It is also soothing to inflamed skin.
Chickweed is a well-known external remedy for cuts, wounds and especially itchy and irritated skin. It is highly emollient.
Plantain is nature's bandaid - vulnerary, emollient and astringent.
A combination of food based oils -- grapeseed, organic sunflower, apricot kernal, almond, avocado, and organic sesame -- yields a rich cream that is light and silky.
Sea buckthorn oil has skin softening qualities that prevent wrinkling and increase cell granulation. It is commonly used in Europe for wound healing.
Lemon essential oil gives a fresh scent to our cream and offers some skin care protection.
Rosemary essential oil is a powerful anti-oxidant and preservative.
Grapefruit seed extract provides additional natural preservative qualities.
